At Madisons we support two Practice / Adviser channels:

Member Firm Channel - Our Member Firm channel has been developed for advisers/practice owners that want an involvement with a financial services licensee that extends beyond that of a mere service user/ authorised representative. Simply put they have a willingness/desire to contribute to the capability, scale and brand of our business and consequently want to share in the value created. We are unashamed that our Member Firm eligibility criteria is "selective". Whilst our initial consideration criteria are quantitatively based (eg. funds under advice/ premiums under advice hurdles, revenue hurdles, compliance history etc.), we also have qualitative hurdles that include: "fit" with the other members, shared "vision" and knowledge/capabilities that can be leveraged.

Being firm believers that "skin in the game" is powerful motivator, Member Firms are required to take an upfront equity position in the Group. The initial capital stake has not changed from the group's inception, despite the firm being many times its starting size. Our philosophy on this matter is simple - all our Members start from the same position, it is only as a result of the value they consequently bring to the business that their individual equity holdings deviate from that of their colleagues (Nb. This is achieved through a performance equity pool)

Associate Firm Channel - Our Associate channel has been developed for advisers/practice owners that are wanting to access the License and services of Madison but who either do not fully meet the entry hurdles required for consideration as a Member Firm, or who may not want to take an upfront equity position in the group. Associate

At an equity level, Associate firms are not eligible for an initial equity tranche but instead derive equity through the group's performance equity pool - in the same manner as Member firms.
